Adrian was
diagnosed with Autism at the age
of two. He memorizes scenes from movies and enjoys acting
them out.
He is a very active child and in his physical skills he reveals his
strength;
however he exhibits delays in several areas of his
development. Adrian has a
lack of
expressive and receptive speech. His academic skills show a
significant
delay. Even though he can count to ten he does not understand
its value
or the relationship to objects, they are just words. Self
care skills are
minimal and require prompting. We have been working on potty
training for
over a year and still he has not grasped the concept. We hope
to improve
his sustained attention and his ability to follow simple directives and
lessen
his overall level of frustration due to his inability to communicate
his wants
and needs.
