Age: 9 years old                                   

Background: Diana seemed like a perfectly healthy baby until she was nearly two,

but by then her parents began to notice she wasn't talking, wasn't interacting with other

children, and didn't respond when they tried to get her attention.  Then she began to

engage in echolalia (the constant repetition of words or phrases heard) and she walked

on the tip of her toes. At the age of 4 she was diagnosed with autism. She avoided eye

contact and wasn't accepting of anything new. She often displayed temper tantrums.

Diana is now 9 years old. After years of therapy, she has developed into a smart and loving child who loves to be tickled and loves hugs and kisses from her closest family but although she has improved tremendously, she still has a lot of language and social difficulties.

Diana’s mother is doing all that is possible to help her overcome her challenges. She possesses great potential, but intensive therapies are needed at this critical point in her life. Sponsors are crucial to her because they can offer the necessary funds to give Diana the opportunity to receive the therapy she needs. Diana's future depends on it. 

Health insurance does not cover this type of care that could change her life. Diana’s mother is willing to do anything she has to for her angel to overcome her inabilities, however, financially she is running out of options. Any donation, whether big or small can make a world of a difference in Diana’s life.

We are looking for sponsors that would allow Diana to continue receiving therapy. Please support Angels Reach and all the efforts they do every day for our children. These children can learn but it takes time, knowledge, love and lots of help from people like you to make it happen.

Needs:

Verbal Behavior Therapy-Intense intervention is to develop and support communication and cognitive skills.
10 hours per week recommended. 10 hours per week recommended. Cost: $450/week

Therapy Intensive Integrated Group Program (1:2 therapist: child ratio) Integrated interventions include Speech, Pragmatic Language, and Cognitive Support.

10 hours per week recommended. Cost: $295/week

Academic Support – to facilitate developmentally appropriate reading, and computation skills as well as application of basic skills in real life problem solving tasks

5 hours per week recommended. Cost: $ 225/week
